Shauntae Yankasky, assistant director of admissions at Moritz College of Law, was recently selected to be assistant vice president of the Midwest Alliance for Law School Admissions (MALSA). She will serve a two-year term in this role.

MALSA is comprised of admissions officers employed by American Bar Association-accredited law schools throughout the Midwest. The group’s mission is to serve members by providing a forum for discussion and sharing of information to better serve the pre-law advisors and the law school admissions community.

“We are excited to have Shauntae join the MALSA Board,” said MALSA president Tim Luczak. “I have had the wonderful opportunity to see Shauntae’s dedication and enthusiasm working with students, so I am excited to have her as a partner in serving students going into law school at a larger scale.”

Yankasky previously spent more than a decade as an academic advisor to undergraduate and graduate students at The Ohio State University, Carnegie Mellon University, the University of Pittsburgh, and Duquesne University. Before joining the team at Moritz, she worked in admissions and assessment at Ohio State’s College of Public Health. Yankasky is a double Buckeye, having earned her MA in higher education and student affairs as well as a BA in psychology from Ohio State.
