Sarah Davis Arnold, B.A., J.D.
Sarah Davis Arnold, Esq. is a Staff Attorney of the Drug Enforcement and Policy Center at the Moritz College of Law where she works on the Opportunity Port project and the Rights Restoration Reentry Program. In her role as a Staff Attorney, Sarah advises individuals on record sealing, expungement, and other rights restoration remedies and supports the center’s research on criminal justice and drug policy. Sarah is a compassionate and dedicated attorney with a history of serving clients and her community through her work in healthcare fraud prosecution, criminal defense, public health policy, and non-profit advocacy. Sarah’s research interests primarily involve criminal law and healthcare law.
Prior to joining Ohio State, Sarah served as an Associate Assistant Attorney General with the Office of the Ohio Attorney General’s Health Care Fraud Section, where she investigated and prosecuted Medicaid Fraud committed by Ohio medical providers. Sarah also previously worked as a criminal defense attorney with the Law Office of Brian Jones, where she represented clients facing criminal charges and victims of police misconduct. While in law school at Arizona State University, Sarah clerked for Suzuki Law Offices and externed with the Maricopa County Office of the Public Defender. Sarah has also worked for the Center for Public Health Law and Policy, the Racial Democracy, Crime, and Justice Network, and the Children’s Defense Fund- Ohio where she contributed to research and initiatives addressing public health emergencies, public health preemption, health equity, the school-to-prison pipeline, and racial disparities in the criminal justice system.
Sarah is barred to practice law in the state of Ohio and is an active member of the Ohio State Bar Associate where she has served as the Chair of the Young Lawyers Section and the Learning Liaison for the Health Care Law Committee. She graduated from The Ohio State University with a B.A. in Political Science and Criminology and earned her J.D., as well as a Certificate in Law, Science, & Technology - Health Law Focus, from Arizona State University's Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law.
