Established by the College in the fall of 2007, the Program on Law and Leadership (PLL) is the umbrella for both credit-bearing and extra-curricular activities related to leadership development at the College.  Directed by Professor Alan Michaels, former Moritz Dean, and coordinated by Mary Rose Sullivan, the program is committed to the idea that leadership education is a lifelong endeavor combining theoretical knowledge, practice, and applied skills. The PLL seeks to help students expand their understanding of leadership—integrating leadership skills with legal expertise to lead in the legal arena, represent leaders effectively, drive change, and improve our society.

All Moritz students may sign up for PLL.  Joining the PLL will assure that you receive notices about PLL leadership events and opportunities.  Joining does not obligate you to attend any events.  Typically, over half of Moritz students sign up to participate in PLL events.

  • Are you interested in improving your leadership skills?
  • Would you like to meet distinguished lawyer-leaders from a variety of fields?
  • Do you want to share lunch with Dean Davies and distinguished alumni?
  • If so, join the Program on Law and Leadership!
