The Dean’s Roundtable invites first-year law students to converse with the dean and a featured guest, frequently an alumnus of the college, over lunch. These small gatherings allow students to discuss leadership topics, and they offer a unique opportunity to listen to real-world stories about career paths, life balance, and lessons learned since graduating from law school. For first- year students, the Dean’s Roundtable is a reminder that leadership can come in many forms, and each graduate has the possibility of trailblazing his or her own career. It offers an opportunity to shape how students think of themselves from the start of law school, showing them at the very beginning of their law careers that attorneys have considerable leadership potential that can be sustained throughout their lives.
