Peter Leasure
Pete is a Senior Research Associate for the Drug Enforcement and Policy Center. As a Senior Research Associate, Pete manages research projects and works closely with policymakers to ensure that evidence-based laws, policies, and practices are implemented. Before joining the Center, Pete was an Assistant Professor and Community Impact Research Fellow at York College of Pennsylvania. Pete's research primarily focuses on the evaluation of laws, policies, and practices utilizing experimental or quasi-experimental research designs. His research has appeared in various outlets such as Criminal Justice and Behavior, Crime and Delinquency, the Justice Evaluation Journal, the Justice System Journal, and the Journal of Empirical Legal Studies. Pete received his Ph.D. from the University of South Carolina, his J.D. from New England Law Boston, and his B.A. from Ohio Dominican University.
