Submissions, as well as questions relating to submissions, should initially be sent to

1. Commentary Section: We seek relatively short, provocative essays, preferably 5,000-7,000 words (inclusive of footnotes) in length. These essays may be less formal in style, and preferably will be less footnoted than traditional scholarly contributions. Although we will consider longer essays, their chances of being accepted are reduced accordingly.

2. Review Section: We seek reviews of recently published criminal justice related books and empirical studies, as well as reflections on the criminal justice implications of other features of modern culture (e.g. movies, television, theatre, fiction).

3. Letters to the Journal: If you read a recent article in the Ohio State Journal of Criminal Law to which you wish to write a brief response, we welcome a “Letter to the Journal.”
