"I knew going into undergrad I wanted to go to law school. My sister and my dad both went to Ohio State for law school. I wanted to be close to my family while in law school to have that support system. I love Columbus as a city and I want to practice here."
Ohio State awarded 150 sesquicentennial scholarships to students across the university for the 2019-20 academic year. Two Moritz College of Law students, 2L Hallie Israel and 1L LeRoy Ricksy, are among the honorees.
Her entire life, 2L DyTiesha Dunson called either Georgia or Florida home. The all-time assists leader in Florida Gulf Coast University Women’s Basketball history currently resides in Columbus, where she is pursuing her JD at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.
"I have been a Buckeye for life basically, growing up in Ohio. Ohio State was one of the two schools I was considering for undergrad. It’s the flagship university of the state, so from the outset, it was the dream school."
"My legal interests are in international law. When I did my undergraduate [Sarjana Hukum, LLB], I did an international law concentration. Right now, I’m doing a lot of alternative dispute resolution instead of international law, but I basically am combining both."
