Mike Stackus serves as Director of Development at Moritz. In this role, he works with alumni and friends of the college to facilitate their relationship with the college and Ohio State University with their time, talents, and philanthropic resources. He meets with alumni and friends in Columbus, everyone in Ohio outside of Cleveland, and states west of the Mississippi River.
Mike has spent over a decade in fundraising roles at Norwich University (VT), Johns Hopkins University (MD), University of Maryland, and most recently at the E. J Ourso College of Business at Louisiana State University.
“My passion for fundraising can be traced back to my pre-professional days. As a student, I wondered how and why anyone would create a scholarship for a student. The reason? Without a scholarship to my alma mater, I could not attend, therefore never getting the tools to advance my career opportunities. Because someone in the late 1990s had the idea to start the First Generation Scholars Program, I received the resources to afford my college education and jumpstart my career path.”
When not in the office or traveling to meet alumni and friends, Mike enjoys spending time with his wife Danielle and son Bennett and playing golf or watching a Buckeyes game.
