Preparing for Course Registration and Orientation
It’s only May, but it’s never too soon to begin thinking about your LL.M. courses!
You will find the most complete and updated course listings under under Fall 2020 Course List and Spring 2021 Course List. Please note that the course descriptions are on the LL.M. Guide to the Moritz Curriculum, under Section III. Please browse and see what courses might match your interests and goals and begin planning your schedule; the LL.M. Guide to the Moritz Curriculum explains, step-by-step, how to review courses, plan a schedule and prepare for registration. You will be required to print and complete the fall/spring course planning worksheets, and send them back to Assistant Dean Fernandez-Alvarez before we can hold your Skype/WeChat registration meeting.
In the coming weeks, the Assistant Dean will arrange for a Skype/WeChat interview with each student, to talk over your selections for next year. If you intend to take a bar exam, she will help you plan your schedule so that you can meet the requirements. Please note that while we normally offer a 3-week summer program immediately prior to the academic year, the Foundations of US Law and Practice, due to the pandemic we won’t be offering the program in 2020.
Finally, be sure to mark these important dates in your calendar:
Orientation: August 18 – 21 (Mandatory)
First day of class: August 24
