Vorys General Counsel Series with Pariss M. Coleman II, Senior Counsel, The Andersons
March 27, 2019 | 12:10 pm
Coleman will discuss his work as in-house counsel for The Andersons, a publicly traded company with diverse interests in trade, plant nutrient, ethanol and rail sectors headquartered in northwestern Ohio.
As Senior Counsel of The Andersons, Inc., Coleman’s primary responsibilities are for the Plant Nutrient Group and general responsibilities for corporate litigation, employment, and environmental legal matters. He has been working with Andersons for almost 3 years and enjoys his job tremendously.
Coleman is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Law. He inherited his love for Ohio State from his Grandfather, 1929 College of Law graduate Claud Recker. Uniquely, Coleman is the seventh of eight attorneys on Mr. Recker’s side of the family. Prior to enrolling at OSU, Coleman earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Administration from Miami University. While at Miami, Coleman played football.
Prior to joining the Andersons, Coleman was a partner at Spengler Nathanson where he primarily practiced in litigation, employment, and business. He strongly believes the breadth of his private practice prepared him for his current role at The Andersons.
In his spare time, Coleman serves on the Boards of Directors for Lourdes University, The Toledo Community Foundation, and the Toledo Museum of Art Audit Committee. He also enjoys traveling with his wife and an occasional scuba dive.
