Biography
Kimberly P. Jordan serves as associate dean for experiential programs and clinical professor of law at Moritz. In her role, she provides administrative oversight and strategic vision for all clinical and externship opportunities and initiatives. She also teaches in the Justice for Children Clinic representing youth in delinquency, child welfare, and immigration matters.
Professor Jordan’s research focuses on criminal law issues in Ohio. With her co-auther, Olwyn Conway, she has published a treatise on OVI (Operating a Vehicle under the Influence of Alcohol or Drugs) cases and criminal law practice.
Prior to joining Moritz, Professor Jordan was a Senior Attorney at the Legal Aid Society of Southwest Ohio, LLC, where she specialized in family law and the representation of children. Early in her career, she served in the Jesuit Volunteer Corps and was a licensed substance abuse counselor.
In 2019, Professor Jordan received the Ohio Attorney of the Year Award from Ohio CASA. She also received the Noel E. Kaech Juvenile Defender Award from the Ohio Public Defender in 2018. Professor Jordan is a board member for The Ohio Children’s Trust Fund, a board member of the Central Ohio Association of Juvenile Lawyers and a certified trainer for the National Juvenile Defender Center Project “Juvenile Training Immersion Program.” She has served several committees with the Supreme Court of Ohio.
