Katrina Lee Receives Alumni Award for Distinguished Teaching
Professor Katrina Lee has been selected to receive The Ohio State University’s 2024 Alumni Award for Distinguished Teaching. The selection was announced in a surprise visit to Lee’s classroom on March 25.
“I’m feeling happy, grateful, and deeply honored to receive this award,” said Lee. “I have often said that I have the best job. My students inspire and energize me every day.”
Lee’s nominators for the award praised her “top-level teaching with remarkable skill and dedication across a range of modalities and contexts.” She not only invests significant time, energy and dedication to teaching, but also demonstrates an unwavering commitment to inspiring students to make a real impact in law and beyond.
Lee is the John C. Elam/Vorys Sater Professor in Law and the Director of the College’s Program on Dispute Resolution. She joined the College of Law in 2011 after a career in complex litigation spanning more than 12 years. An accomplished scholar, Professor Lee is the author of the first-of-its-kind business of law coursebook, The Legal Career: Knowing the Business, Thriving in Practice and co-author of the third edition of the legal writing coursebook, The U.S. Guide to Legal Analysis and Writing.
