Biography
Katherine Silver Kelly is an accomplished clinical professor of law at Moritz. She teaches legal analysis and writing (LAW I and II) and is a coach in the moot court program. She serves as the faculty advisor for both the Black Law Students Association and the Military and Veteran Law Student Association. Professor Kelly was honored with the College’s Morgan E. Shipman award for excellence in teaching in both 2016 and 2021. In 2017, she was awarded the Ohio State University Alumni Award for Distinguished Teaching.
Prior to joining the faculty at Moritz, Professor Kelly served as a judicial attorney for Judge Elinore Marsh Stormer at the Summit County Court of Common Pleas and then as the director of Academic Success Programs at the University of Akron School of Law. She is the creator of the Bar Exam Wizard blog.
Professor Kelly has served on numerous LWI and ALWD committees and mentors new lawyers in the Ohio Supreme Court Lawyer to Lawyer Mentoring Program. At Ohio State, she also serves on the University Library Committee and the University Conduct Board.
