MY FUNNY VALENTINE: The Role of Toxic Masculinity/Femininity in Relationships
Recently, Gillette, a brand of men and women’s safety razors, posted an on-line “short film” that has sparked some controversy by denouncing “bullying,” “toxic masculinity,” and “sexual harassment.” Aside from critics pointing out Gillette’s hypocrisy, this commercial has rekindled “toxic masculinity” as a talking point. This session will explore current societal norms through both toxic masculinity and femininity relationships on the college campus.
