Lorenzo Corte is partner at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. He concentrates in cross-border mergers and acquisitions, including contested takeovers, private sales and acquisitions, private equity transactions and joint ventures. His M&A assignments include a long list of companies for which he has acted. He has represented several strategic investors such as Anheuser-Busch, Brembo S.p.A., Danaher Corporation, Esaote S.p.A., Kellogg Company, Valeant Pharmaceuticals International, and a number of other private sellers and investors in connection with acquisitions and sales of privately owned companies and assets involving multiple jurisdictions in Europe and the United States.
Mr. Corte has written and co-authored articles on the topic of public takeover regulation and trends in Europe for, among other publications, the International Comparative Legal Guide to: M&A, the International Financial Law Review and The M&A Lawyer. He has visited Moritz several times, serving as a guest speaker in Mr. Simpson’s courses over the past 3-4 years.
He received his J.D. from the University of Milan and his LL.M. from Columbia University.
