Douglas J. Whaley
Emeritus Professor of Law. Began teaching law at Indiana Indianapolis Law School in 1970 and joined the Ohio State Law School in 1976 as a Professor of Law, later becoming the James W. Shocknessy Professor of Law until his retirement in 2004. Won nine awards for outstanding teaching from three law schools, including the Ohio State University’s Distinguished Teaching Award in 1978. Authored many law review articles and published seven casebooks on contracts and various commercial law topics, as well as the three Uniform Commercial Code Gilbert’s Law Summaries. He still teaches one or more classes each year.
