Christopher D. Galanos
Chris Galanos is a reference librarian at the Moritz Law Library. He provides research and reference assistance to faculty, students, and the public. He also teaches Legal Analysis and Writing I in the first-year curriculum.
Immediately before joining the Moritz Law Library, Galanos worked as a graduate assistant at the University of Illinois College of Law’s Albert E. Jenner Jr. Memorial Law Library while he pursued his degree in library and information science. Prior to shifting his career to law librarianship, Galanos was a partner with the Central Illinois law firm of Quinn, Johnston, Henderson, Pretorius, & Cerulo, where his practice was focused on defending doctors, nurses, and other healthcare providers in civil litigation.
Galanos holds a B.A. in History from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, a J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law, and an M.S. in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois School of Information Sciences.
Galanos is a member of the American Association of Law Libraries, and the Ohio Regional Association of Law Libraries. He is admitted to practice law in Illinois and Missouri.
