Program on Data and Governance Events

This is the event’s landing page for PDG. It will need to stay because it describes the type of events they host and the focus. There will need to be a sub section from the landing page to list the upcoming events for the academic year (see below). Our new event page module would lightent the content on the event page because we can link to the events.

The Program on Data and Governance is proud to serve as a center for the conversation between The Ohio State University and the technology, business, law, and policy communities of central Ohio on data and governance issues. The Program hosts two ongoing speaker series that are free and open to the public:

Distinguished Lecture on Big Data Law and Policy

This annual Distinguished Lecture brings renowned thought leaders to Moritz to present innovative ideas on legal, ethical, technological and other strategies for governing big data analytics. An invited scholar presents while a second invited scholar comments and engages the lecturer in debate.

Data Points: Ideas on Data, Law and Society

The Data Points series invites academics, policymakers, business executives, and technologists to share their experiences with how big data analytics law and policy has impacted different segments of society. The Data Points lectures are presented three times annually with support from Porter Wright Morris and Arthur LLP.
