JusticeTech is an interdisciplinary incubator at The Ohio State University where legal expertise meets technical innovation. By uniting the Moritz College of Law with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE),  and the Institute for Cybersecurity and Digital Trust (ICDT), we transform complex legal hurdles into accessible and ethical digital solutions.

At the heart of the program is the JusticeTech Capstone Practicum. In this hands-on course, law and computer science students team up to design solutions for real legal issues.
 

Our development process begins directly with community partnerships to assess and identify real-world needs. Throughout the program development cycle, these partners work alongside student teams to guide the creation of each project. Every tool is backed by student-led research to ensure it remains legally sound, fully functional, and genuinely responsive to the needs of the Ohioan community. This collaborative model fosters an immersive experiential learning environment, giving students a broad perspective on public interest technology. Before launch, all programs undergo rigorous stakeholder testing, alongside thorough analysis for UX/UI functionality and robust security.

The JusticeTech Process
