The Drug Enforcement and Policy Center seeks to augment its staff and faculty team with permanent, part-time and temporary positions.
The Drug Enforcement and Policy Center seeks a Senior Research Associate with a passion for research in the area of drug policy and criminal justice. The senior research associate will work with the center’s director, staff, and affiliated faculty to design and execute innovative, evidence-driven research projects to ensure that the center is viewed as a scholarly leader and a valuable resource by policymakers and other academics. Working closely with local, state, and national stakeholders in the drug enforcement and policy space, the senior researcher will be in charge of acquiring and analyzing data, conducting qualitative and quantitative research to inform criminal justice and drug enforcement policy and practice, supervising student researchers, publicizing the center’s research and programming by actively seeking speaking engagements at conferences and other subject matter appropriate venues, and seeking research funding opportunities and leading grant writing efforts. Candidates must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and should be willing to engage in external outreach.
Graduate assistants provide research services including data management, data analysis and report writing in addition to other administrative support.
