How We Vote Matters: An Information Session on Consensus Choice Voting
How much does the method of counting votes shape the outcome of an election? Join the Election Law program at Ohio State (ELOSU) for a session on Consensus Choice voting—a method that compares candidates head-to-head to identify the one preferred by the majority. After a presentation on how different voting methods work, you'll cast a ballot on a hypothetical 2028 presidential election race using an app developed by Better Choices for Democracy. The results will be announced at ELOSU's public conference on Consensus Choice voting on Friday, October 2. Participants will be asked to complete a survey afterward sharing what they took away from the session. All answers will remain anonymous. Open to Moritz law students and John Glenn College of Public Affairs students. Lunch will be provided to those who register.
Ohio State is committed to making its events accessible to all. If you require an accommodation to participate, please contact Issrah Saleh at Saleh.191@osu.edu. Requests made at least two weeks in advance will help us provide seamless access, though we will make every effort to accommodate later requests.
