Darren Nealy, B.A., J.D.
Biography
Darren Nealy serves as Assistant Dean of Students at Moritz College of Law. His role includes academic advising, academic counseling, records and registration, orientation logistics, graduation ceremony support, wellness initiatives, student organizations, the Identity Diversity & Justice program, accommodation implementation, exam management, and more. In addition, Nealy teaches courses on the Legal Aspects of Higher Education Administration for the College of Education and Human Ecology and on Loving v. Virginia for the College of Law.
Before joining Ohio State Law in 2017, Nealy worked at University of Michigan Law School as the Director of Student Services. Before that, he worked as the Director of Multicultural Affairs at Capital University Law School. His prior work experience also includes practicing at a litigation law firm.
Nealy received his B.A. magna cum laude from the University of Dayton where he was a member of the University Honors Program. He received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law. He currently serves as the 2023-2024 President of the National Association of Law Student Affairs Professionals. Nealy has also served as Section Chair of the Association of American Law Schools Section on Student Services.
