Chris Carlson

Chris Carlson has been a mediator, facilitator and trainer for over 30 years. She was a founding Executive Director of the Policy Consensus Initiative (PCI) a national, non-profit organization that worked with state leaders throughout the country to provide more effective ways to manage public conflicts and achieve more collaborative governance. During that time, PCI sponsored the formation of the University Network for Collaborative Governance which consists of centers and programs in colleges and universities that engage in service and scholarship in order to enable citizens and their leaders to engage in dialogue, discussion, problem-solving, and conflict resolution around public issues.
Chris was also the founding Executive Director of the Ohio Commission on Dispute Resolution. Prior to that experience, she served as a Program Officer at the Charles F. Kettering Foundation. Chris has also served as a local elected official. She has also taught and written about the use of consensus-building and problem-solving to address public issues. She has a J.D. from the University of Dayton and a B.S. from Case Western Reserve University.
