Physical Fitness

Department of Recreational Sports offers members of the OSU community an experience to live active and meaningful lives while on campus.

Group Fitness classes, free for all Rec Sports members including aquatics, cardio, Pilates/barre, cycle, strength training and dance.

Adventure Weekend Trips lead by trained staff to develop new friendships, learn wilderness skills, develop leadership qualities, increase interpersonal skills and expand appreciate for environment.

Rock Climbing Center featuring 25 top-rope routes, 8 lead routes and a bouldering cave.

Intramural Sports for all seasons of the year, including: badminton, baseball, battleship, basketball, disc golf, dodgeball, softball, flag football, ice hockey, soccer, racquetball, volleyball, tennis, water polo, kickball and wallyball.

Sports Clubs to serve interests in sports and recreational activities, including: cheer, alpine ski/board, archery, badminton, baseball, basketball, bowling, boxing, crew, cricket, cycling, dance, dodgeball, fencing, field hockey, figure skating, gymnastics, hockey, lacrosse and more.

Personal training for one-on-one training, buddy training, small group training, instructional programs, fitness assessment and free equipment orientations to help you meet your fitness goals.

Recreational Natatorium is located on the ground floor of the RPAC and includes a lap pool, leisure pool, dry saunas and recreation spa. Swimming lessons, swimming programs and adapted aquatic lessons are also offered.


Central Ohio Greenways trails are extensive series of trails that meander through picnic areas, boating and fishing facilities and family-friendly parks. They include the Alum Creek, Big Walnut, Blacklick Creek, Darby Creek, Downtown connector, Olentangy and Scioto trails. Bicyclists, skaters and pedestrians welcome!
