Moritz Team Takes Second at Corporate Moot Court Competition

April 3, 2015 | Students

3L Katie Kalbacher, 3L Ryan Edmiston, and 2LSusan Restrepo took second at the 27th annual Ruby R. Vale Interschool Corporate Moot Court Competition on March 15.

The competition is named after Ruby R. Vale, a highly regarded Pennsylvania lawyer and author of the multi-volume work Vale’s Pennsylvania Digest. Upon his death, the Ruby R. Vale Foundation was founded, which provides financial support for the Ruby R. Vale Distinguished Scholar Program.

The annual three-day event is sponsored by the Moot Court Honor Society of Widener Law Delaware. Each round of the competition is judged by attorneys and judges from the bench and bar of Delaware and nearby Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

This is the second consecutive year a Moritz College of Law Moot Court team has placed among the top two teams at the competition.
