Moritz student Arianne Thomas selected as student fellow for Immigration Summer Legal Corps
Moritz student Arianne Thomas has been selected as one of 20 Student Fellows for the Equal Justice Works Immigration Summer Legal Corps.
Thomas was selected from a pool of 375 applicants and will assist attorneys and paralegals at her host organization, Advocates for Basic Legal Equality, Inc., in representing immigrants and Spanish-speaking agricultural workers.
Student Fellows spend eight to ten weeks during the summer helping to expand high-quality comprehensive legal services and resources for low-income immigrants. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Student Fellows will work remotely this summer to support the efforts of their host organization.
