Professor Edward Foley quoted in Politico article concerning mail-in voting
An expert on election law, Professor Edward Foley was recently quoted in an article by Politico titled, “Trump’s bluster and millions haven’t stopped universal mail-in voting plans.”
Foley, who published an op-ed for Politico earlier in the week, questions the motivations of both sides arguing the legitimacy of the upcoming election.
“You have to wonder to what extent any of the players … are trying to use delay as a tactical advantage or chaos,” said Foley, director of election law at the Moritz College of Law at Moritz. “Some sides might benefit or think they benefit from rocking the boat because they think they’re going to lose or they think they want to create a narrative that the system is untrustworthy.”
