Associate Professor Patricia Zettler featured in NPR podcast discussing FDA testing

August 25, 2020 | Media News

Associate Professor Patricia Zettler was recently featured on NPR’s radio show All Things Considered for an episode titled, “Trump Administration Blocks FDA From Regulating Many New Medical Tests.”

Zettler, a former associate chief counsel in the FDA’s Office of the Chief Counsel, said she is concerned about interference from the Trump Administration on FDA testing, specifically COVID-19 testing and vaccines.

“I think we might worry about interference with FDA decision making on all kinds of things – on potential COVID drugs, on potential COVID vaccines, on basically any kind of COVID product that FDA is going to be reviewing,” she said.
