From the desk of Dean Lincoln L. Davies: Hooding 2021 to be held outdoors on The Oval
Dear Class of 2021,
I write with exciting news about graduation.
For the Class of 2021, we will be holding an in-person, outdoor graduation ceremony on The Oval on Friday, May 14.
Everyone at the College of Law looks forward to honoring you and celebrating your accomplishments and successes—as well as the determination, resilience, and adaptability you have consistently displayed over the past year.
We are now working on the specifics of the event, in cooperation with the SBA committee and the larger University. At this time, we anticipate that we will run at least two ceremonies with groups of graduates smaller than the entire class, plus a small number of guests.
We will soon be circulating a survey to gather information about your desire to participate in the in-person ceremony and your requests for guests. That information will help us finalize the College’s plans.
We are committed to offering this event in compliance with all University health and safety protocols. All attendees will be required to comply with face-covering requirements set by the University. Our event will also comply with University health and safety measures for space use and physical distancing. For those graduates and loved ones who cannot or who do not wish to attend the event in-person, there will be some form of broadcast graduation content available.
We are very excited for this special celebration, and we look forward to sharing additional details as soon as possible. We thank you for your patience while we work to finalize plans.
Our very best,
Dean & Frank R. Strong Chair in Law
