Professor Efthimios Parasidis selected for Silvers Grant
Professor Efthimios Parasidis was recently selected for a Silvers Grant for Works in Progress by the The Robert B. Silvers Foundation.
The The Robert B. Silvers Foundation “is a charitable trust established by a bequest of the late Robert B. Silvers, a founding editor of The New York Review of Books, with the aim of supporting writers working in the fields cultivated by Silvers as editor of The New York Review of Books.”
“As an avid reader and long-time admirer of The New York Review of Books, I’m both thrilled and honored to have been selected as an inaugural recipient of this award,” Parasidis said.
An expert in health law and bioethics, Parasidis holds a joint appointment with The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and the College of Public Health, and is a faculty affiliate with the College of Medicine’s Center for Bioethics. Parasidis was selected for the grant for his book project, Front Lines of Science: The Quest for Military Superiority, which is under contract with Oxford University Press.
