Assistant Professor of Law Margot E. Kaminski, one of the country’s rising experts on law and technology, penned an article for Slate on the free-speech problems raised by regulating drones.

“Accustomed to regulating aircraft, the FAA is encountering concerns about free speech. This is the strange new world we’re entering, as our objects increasingly become information gatherers. How we navigate the intersection of speech concerns with safety concerns for drones may dictate our policy for many new technologies to come,” she writes.
