Professors to discuss Supreme Court session
The second annual Supreme Court Roundtable will be held in Oct. 14 at noon at Saxbe Auditorium. Dean Michaels will moderate the panel discussion on the following cases:
Peter Shane will discuss a case regarding the President’s recess appointment power (National Labor Relations Board v. Noel Canning).
Art Greenbaum will discuss two cases regarding personal jurisdiction (DaimlerCrysler AG v. Bauman and Walden v. Fiore).
Dan Tokaji will discuss a campaign finance case (McCutcheon v. FEC).
Cinnamon Carlarne will discuss a case regarding the authority of the EPA (EPA v. EME Homer City Generation).
Chris Walker will discuss a case regarding the ban on affirmative action in Michigan (Schuette v. Coalition to Defend Affirmative Action).
Each speaker should discuss his or her case for 6-8 minutes. After all the speakers present their cases we will open it up for Q&A from the audience. The event is sponsored by The Federalist Society and The American Constitution Society.
