Moritz earns high passage rates for October Bar Exam
The Moritz College of Law posted a 92 percent Bar exam passage rate for overall exam takers. The 92 percent passage rate posted by Moritz graduates was 7 percent higher than the state average of 85 percent. In addition, the first time pass rate was 93%. The college was also the most represented Ohio law school for the October exam with 156 graduates taking the Bar.
Under normal circumstances, the exam is administered twice a year, in February and July. However, the July exam was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In accordance with COVID-19 precautions and procedures, the October exam was administered remotely.
“To say that I am proud of all of our grads is an understatement. They worked hard and supported each other every step of the way, personifying what it means to be a Buckeye,” said Professor Katherine Silver Kelly who is the director of the Academic Support Program and responsible for Moritz’s bar exam support services.
