Moritz Alum and 48 Hours journalist Erin Moriarty (’77) featured in Oprah Magazine
World renowned journalist and Moritz alum Erin Moriarty (’77) was recently profiled by Oprah Magazine as part of its Dream Jobs series. A lawyer-turned-journalist, Moriarty discussed her transition from litigation to journalism, the rise of true-crime stories in the mainstream media, amongst other things.
Moriarty has been a staple on CBS’ 48 Hours since 1990, a television program that has profiled cold cases and murder convictions since the late 1980’s. She recently visited Moritz to interview fellow Moritz alum Rob Bilott (’90) as part of the Saxbe Auditorium reopening.
“Always enjoy where you are at that moment, because you can’t always be in a hurry for the future,” she said when discussing her career with Oprah Magazine. “You really have to enjoy where you are at the time.”
