Michael Deemer, ’02, named CEO and President of Downtown Cleveland Alliance

Michael Deemer ’02, has been named CEO and President of Downtown Cleveland Alliance, which has a mission to make Downtown Cleveland the region’s most dynamic place to live, work, play and visit.

“Michael steps into the role of CEO and President as a strong advocate for Downtown, building on the solid foundation that DCA has created over the last 15 years,” said Karen Paganini, Downtown Cleveland Alliance’s Chairwoman and K&D Group’s President. “We look forward to supporting his vision for the organization and Downtown Cleveland for years to come.”

Deemer has been with DCA since 2011, when he joined as the Vice President, Business Development and Legal Affairs. He then spent six years as Executive Vice President, Business Development before being named the Interim CEO and President of DCA in May 2021. He was officially announced as the full-time CEO and President on June 24.

During his time at Moritz, Deemer spent time as the Executive Director of the Pro Bono Research Group, and was President of the Public Interest Law Foundation.
