Keesha Mitchell ’91 named interim associate vice president for the Office of Institutional Equity
Moritz alumna Keesha Mitchell ’91 has been named the interim associate vice president for the Office of Institutional Equity at The Ohio State University. The announcement from Provost McPheron states that she will serve in this role for the next 6-8 months while a nationwide search is held for the permanent position.
For the last 21 years, Mitchell has worked in the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, and for the last 10 years has served as the Section Chief for Health Care Fraud. Mitchell has been repeatedly honored for her teamwork and leadership in the attorney general’s office. She has also been successful in forging critical partnerships with other law enforcement agencies in Ohio and across the United States.
After graduating from Moritz in 1991, she spent nearly a decade in the Franklin County Public Defender’s Office where she focused on assisting juveniles and helping abused and neglected children as a guardian ad litem.
