Belonging & Education Workshop: Social Identity and the Law
The Belonging and Education Workshops are for students, staff, and faculty to engage with peers, practices, and reflection centered on diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice. Participants will be able to: expand their own awareness of self; develop skills and tools for equity-minded reflection and practice in law and law school; and strengthen the culture of inclusive excellence in the Moritz College of Law.
This workshop sets participants up to join the conversation around social identity. Participants will learn about their socialization, social identity theory, and how social identities have been used to other/exclude and to what end. This dynamic workshop uses activities, worksheets, and dialogue to give participants tangible skills to build from.
