Kendal Coes ’93: Giving Back in the Courts

Despite the many accolades Kendal Coes ’93 has received as a public servant, he remains particularly proud of one accomplishment: throughout his entire professional career – which includes more than a decade as a magistrate and Hamilton County, Ohio, Municipal Court judge -- he has never missed a day of work. John P. Beavers ’72, a partner in the Columbus office of Bricker & Eckler LLP, was named “Columbus Corporate Lawyer of the Year” in the 2010 edition of Best Lawyers. Beavers has been a practicing lawyer since 1972, including over 11 years as managing partner with Bricker & Eckler. Understanding the critical role governance plays in all organizations, he established and directs Bricker & Eckler’s Counsel for Boards & Executives team that represents governing boards, their committees, and their executives.

Terrence M. Fay ’78 has joined the law firm Thompson Hine LLP as a partner in the firm’s Columbus office. Fay, a member of the firm’s Environmental group, focuses his practice on civil and criminal environmental litigation, public contract litigation, and environmental counseling in real estate and corporate transactions.
