DiMickele '95 Shares Advice on Work-Life Balance

Although she might not easily admit it, Susan DiMickele ’95 may prove that you can do it all. DiMickele, a trial lawyer and mother of three, has successfully published her first book.

She wrote Chasing Superwoman: A Working Mom’s Adventures in Life and Faith (David C. Cook Publishing, 2010) over a span of two years. Whenever she could find time on an airplane, on vacation, or when her kids were sleeping, DiMickele wrote what she calls “journal” entries that eventually became the book. ››Read more

Moritz is distinctive among the country’s leading law schools for many reasons and in many different ways. One of those is our commitment to leadership development. At Moritz, we are deeply committed to teaching students how to be outstanding lawyers, while also seeking to instill the values of public service and leadership. Three-Way Tie Sends Alumni Football Picks to Overtime

Congratulations to Sue Williams Case '68, Dan Shaban '82, and Dean Alan Michaels on ending the regular season in a three-way tie for first place! Each finished with eight wins, just one more than the rest of the alumni field. However, unlike this year's Big Ten finish, only one champion shall remain. Once Ohio State is placed in a bowl game, these three participants will be asked to choose the game winner as well as a point total to determine a final champion. ››See the standings

This week, the Boyd Conference Suite (within Drinko Hall) was named in recognition of a generous gift from Robert E. Boyd Jr. ’52 and Janet P. Boyd in honor of the three successive generations of the Boyd Family who attended The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and the four successive generations who practiced law in the state of Ohio: M.L. Brian E. Burns ’97 accepted partnership with Bricker & Eckler. He is a member of the firm’s Business Law Group and will work in the firm's Columbus office. His practice primarily focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and private equity.

Bruce E. Cryder ’72 was named the Lexington, Ky., National Resources Lawyer of the Year for 2011 by Best Lawyers. Cryder is a member in the Lexington office of Greenebaum Doll & McDonald PLLC, and is a member of the firm’s Environment, Energy and Natural Resources Practice Group. His practice focuses on mineral, energy and natural resources law, with a particular emphasis on the coal industry.
