Nadorff í80: Empowering Local Oil and Gas Lawyers

Editorís Note: When we last caught up with Norman Nadorff í80 in January 2007, he was just embarking on the creation of a post-graduate legal program in Angola, West Africa. More than three years later, that dream has become a reality.

When Norman Nadorff í80 arrived in Luanda, Angola, in 2006 to commence his position as senior counsel of BP Angola, he didnít know that he would help create and implement a program that would bring forth a sophisticated level of education in oil and gas law, the first of its kind in Africa, and one of the few in the world. ››Read more

Online Registration Open for Reunion Weekend 2010

Members of the Classes of 1960, 1965, 1970, 1975, 1980, 1985, 1990, 1995, 2000, and 2005 can now sign up for the festivities scheduled for Sept. 10-11. We have three great events planned for the weekend: the Reunion tailgate and class dinners, a Clinic Alumni Reunion, and the Barton Memorial Golf Tournament. The Clinic Alumni Reunion and golf tournament are open to any Moritz graduate from any year. ››Read More
Kathy Northern

Assoc. Dean Northern Honored with University-wide Diversity Enhancement Award

Associate Dean Kathy Northern was presented the 2010 Distinguished Diversity Enhancement Award, which is a University-wide award that recognizes individuals who have demonstrated a significant commitment to enhancing diversity at Ohio State and to exceeding expectations in implementing the Diversity Action Plan. Ohio State recognizes just five award winners annually from the University's nearly 25,000 faculty and staff members. ››Read more

Bar Association, Foundation Welcome Moritz Alumni

Career Services Announces New Program to Benefit Employers, Students

Career Services has launched a new initiative, Moritz Short-term Assistance Registry (STAR). STAR is designed to provide private sector employers a pool of qualified and pre-approved second and third year students and graduates from the class of 2010 to hire for assistance with short-term projects.The intent of the program is to provide you with short term assistance with no obligation to hire on a continued basis and to give students interested in firm or corporate counsel work an opportunity to get some experience in the practice. ››Read more

Charles C. Warner ’70 was awarded the 2010 Columbus Bar Service Medal in recognition of his long history of distinguished service to the Columbus Bar Association. Warner, a partner with Porter Wright, has been committed to the Columbus Bar for 40 years, and has served as president of both the Bar and the Bar Foundation. The Bar Service Medal is the highest honor bestowed by the organization.

Lexy Payne Font '99 was recently named a partner at Pattishall McAuliffe Newbury Hilliard & Geraldson in Chicago. Font leads Pattishall's advertising, promotional marketing, and media practice and is a part of the firm’s litigation practice.
