Moritz creates newsletter for legal community

There is always something interesting happening at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. Whether it’s a visit from an associate justice of the Supreme Court of the United States or a symposium where professional lawyers can earn credit for learning the latest about corrupt foreign business practices, the College has rich opportunities to engage the legal community in Ohio and beyond the Buckeye State.

That is the impetus behind Amicus, a new electronic publication sent quarterly to friends in the legal community beyond the College’s alumni and current students.

“In addition to the cutting-edge legal research happening at Moritz, we often host leaders in thought on a variety of topics at the College. It made perfect sense to develop a newsletter for the broader legal community so that legal professionals can take advantage of what Moritz has to offer and hear about exciting developments,” said Dean Alan C. Michaels, the Edwin M. Cooperman Professor of Law. “Reaching out to our legal community is a part of our mission and, of course, these interactions inform what we do.”

The first issue of Amicus was sent via email last month and can be found here. In addition to news from the law school, the edition included registration information about upcoming symposia on timely topics, such as how alternative dispute resolution could be used in collective bargaining negotiations in the public sector.

To sign up colleagues or others who would benefit from receiving news from the top-ranked law school in Ohio, send an email to moritzlaw@osu.edu.
