Reengagement is Key

Throughout the fall, the Moritz College of Law has reengaged with countless alumni through new and continued efforts. The programming – always being fine-tuned to better serve our alumni – is vital to maintaining the strong ties we have with our graduates in Ohio, across the country, and around the world.

The College welcomed five alumni speakers back to campus this fall for the inaugural “Visiting Practitioner Series.” A joint effort between Alumni Relations and Career Services, the program brought Moritz graduates to the College to speak to students about selected practice areas. Students responded positively to the events, and we expect to continue the series in future semesters.

We host reunions every year, but the 2009 Reunion was a particularly successful one. More than 400 people attended their class dinners, and nearly that many visited Drinko Hall for the tailgate preceding the OSU vs. USC football game. We’ve already begun planning for the 2010 Reunion next September.

Alumni tailgates preceding most OSU home football games have continued to be well attended. Our clinic alumni gathering at the Columbus Zoo in October attracted more than 100 guests, and, just this week, Toledo-area graduates gathered in the chambers of U.S. District Court Judge David A. Katz ‘57.

Look for additional opportunities to reconnect with the College and your fellow alumni in the coming months. We always look forward to engaging with you.
