Alex Fraga

Alex is an affiliated senior researcher for the Drug Enforcement and Policy Center. Her research interests include drug reform policy, criminal sentencing, and stratification. Alex holds a Ph.D. in sociology at The Ohio State University. Her doctoral work focused on gender, sentencing, and longitudinal change in sentencing disparities. While in graduate school, Alex applied her methodological expertise toward evidence-based research to inform litigation strategy and help non-profits achieve their intended goals. In 2016, Alex won the Richard Lundman Award for Teaching Excellence at The Ohio State University, where she taught courses on Criminology and Urban Social Problems for four years while pursuing her doctorate.
