Ohio residents receive a top-notch legal education for an excellent value. Students relocating to Ohio for their legal education can be reclassified as Ohio residents and pay the in-state tuition rate after living in the state for 12 months and meeting other criteria.

Moritz College of Law is not involved with establishing Ohio residency. Rather, students work directly with the Office of the University Registrar. Residency rules, deadlines, and related materials are available on the Registrar’s website.

The state of Ohio’s Forever Buckeye program removes the 12-month period of establishing residency in Ohio before becoming eligible for in-state tuition. This is available for any Ohio high school graduate who re-establishes residency in Ohio, through applying, and enrolls in an undergraduate or graduate program at an Ohio university.
