Each year, the Washington, D.C., Summer Program sends a select group of students to the heart of our nation’s government. This isn't just a program; it's an invitation to immerse oneself in the epicenter of power and change. Here, amidst the historical pillars and bustling corridors of D.C., students dive deep into meaningful externships, where every assignment echoes with significance.
The D.C. Summer Program isn't just about work – it's about exploration.
Beyond clocking hours, the program is structured around growth. Our D.C. students spend most of their time in their meaningful field placement, at sites hand-selected to complement each student’s specific goals and interests. And as the sun sets over the iconic D.C. skyline, the learning continues with insightful evening classes.
It's not just a summer, it's the foundation of your future in law.
Enriched by a 2-credit course on 'The Ethics of Washington Lawyering' and a 3-credit externship seminar, the experiences are as vast as they are varied. In the past, our students have explored prestigious U.S. government departments and institutions, experienced the significance of our nation's capital landmarks, and forged lifelong memories and friendships that have lasted lifetimes.
