The Moritz College of Law offers multiple programs that provide direct legal support to members of the public. Our programs regularly partner with community organizations and state and local governments to bridge the gap between academic research and policy realities. The clinics at the College focus on reducing barriers to access to legal services and generating innovative solutions to legal challenges impacting our communities. The college also provides a broad range of public events that serve to educate the community on a variety of legal topics.
Programs that Provide Services to the Public
JusticeTech
With student support, JusticeTech connects law and technology to create research-backed tools that tackle access to justice challenges facing Ohio communities.
Ohio Governor's Expedited Pardon Project
This project provides free pardon application assistance to eligible, accepted clients and access to Ohio's expedited path to a pardon.
Divided Community Project
The Divided Community Project provides dispute resolution and systems-design expertise to help leaders enhance community resiliency and prepare for and respond to events that polarize communities.
Opportunity Port
Opportunity Port is an online portal that connects those with criminal records in Ohio with the legal help they need to complete record sealing and expungement applications.

Clinics
The Moritz College of Law is home to multiple clinics in which law students provide free legal services to clients in the community. Depending on the clinic, these services may be available to the general public.
