Yianni Lagos ’11, was featured in a New York Times article “U.S. Tech Firms Facing Stronger European Date Protection Measures” Jan. 8. The legal and policy fellow at the Future of Privacy Forum is also a research assistant to Professor Peter Swire. In the article, which centered on the U.S.’s efforts to advance data protections for European Union citizens, Yianni said, “The largest challenge is the concept of interoperability. … Translating from a coded format to a commonly used format, that is what will be difficult and costly to achieve.”
