Law & Leadership Institute Continues to Grow

Supported by Ohio’s law schools, the Ohio State Bar Foundation, the Kettering Foundation, the Ohio Center for Law-Related Education, and the Supreme Court of Ohio, the 2-year-old high school Law & Leadership Institute is an initiative to increase the number of minorities involved in the justice system.

Columbus freshmen and sophomores gathered at the Moritz College of Law for five weeks during the summer. The program also has expanded to Cleveland, Akron, Toledo, Cincinnati, and Dayton this year.

Moritz students, faculty, and alumni are closely connected to the entire program. Moritz faculty helped create and facilitate the program, alumni are helping to build it, and Moritz students help teach the high school students.
