Technical Tips - Outlook 2010 - Recover deleted email

Any email deleted within the past 30 days can still be recovered in Outlook.  Once the email has been deleted for more than 30 days, it can still be retrieved from the Exchange server by OIT for an additional 14 days.

To recover email deleted within the last 30 days through Outlook 2010, click on the Folder Tab – Recover Deleted Items Icon .  Choose from the list the item(s) you wish to recover and press the recover button .  Recovered email will be restored to the folder where it resided before it was deleted.

If the item(s) were deleted more than 30 days but less than 44 days ago, contact 8help@osu.edu to request the Exchange Server team restore the item from the server for you.
