Housing
Law students at Ohio State have a variety of housing options from which to choose, including on-campus housing in graduate student residence halls, a university-operated apartment complex for families, and privately owned apartments located just a short distance from the Moritz College of Law.
South Campus Gateway
In August 2005, new apartments became available for Moritz Law students located directly across the street from the college. These apartments are in a building that is part of an exciting development project along the campus's east perimeter: the South Campus Gateway project.
By combining apartments, shops, and offices along the "Main Street" of the University District, the project will create a dynamic urban neighborhood that will transform the law school, university, and neighboring communities. Among the project's anchor tenants are an eight-screen movie complex, restaurants such as Panera Bread, and a Barnes and Noble Bookstore. In addition, there are plans for 35 to 40 more restaurants, clubs, stores, and banks and other personal service venues to locate in the Gateway. More Information on South Campus Gateway
University Housing
Law students also have the option of living in one of the university-operated buildings near the law school. Jones Tower, on north campus, is a residence hall exclusively for single graduate and professional students who wish to live in university-operated housing; it is also available for LL.M. students.
New housing options for graduate and professional students, including LL.M. students, are also available on south campus, close to the Moritz College of Law. Both the Neil Avenue and Worthington Avenue buildings offer a variety of housing options, and some apartments include such amenities as ranges, dishwashers, refrigerators, and microwave ovens.
Buckeye Village is a 390-unit apartment complex owned and operated by the university for married students and students with dependent children. More Information on University Housing
Off-Campus Housing
Law students have a wealth of choices when it comes to living in privately owned housing. The location of the Ohio State campus allows convenient access to many large and small apartment complexes with varying costs and amenities. More Information on Off-Campus Housing
